Boswellia serrata
Boswellia serrata (Salai/Salai guggul), Olibanum is a thin-barked tree that grows in dry, barren, rocky areas in Africa, the southern regions of the Arabian peninsula and the east of India, and can reach up to 1.5 – 8 meters in height. The tree bears the name of English botanist Johann Boswell, who described it in 1846.
